Temporary Title, 2026 is a work created for spaces in which visitors enter and exit freely, deciding the duration of their visit. The performers of the work embody and incorporate a succession of metamorphoses that transform both their presence and the space, creating various ways of being together.
With Temporary Title, 2026, time and space become tools for generating encounters between the public and the artwork through movements of back-and-forth between the recognizable and the formless, interiority and exteriority, the self and the other, between public and private.
To this end, the performers cover and uncover themselves with garments whose accumulation of layers in multiple compositions will be camouflaged with a mosaic of carpets in varied patterns and colors to induce oscillating gazes and dissolve categories assigned by the imperative of identity.
The choreography, inspired by the movements of a fountain, amplifies the effects of a living presence among the visitors. In this striking environment, where movement, sculpture, matter, and noises come together to weave relationships founded on presence, two central questions emerge: How might we imagine and live ourselves as "things" together, breathing between our inner and outer worlds? How can we create a space, a time, where one could simply be there? That alone would already be quite a lot.
